UPF-Europe reports sending medical supplies for a North Korean children's hospital donated by Germany, Spain, and Norway. The project, in support of UPF's North East Asia Peace Initiative, was facilitated by the North Korean Red Cross in 2011.

Anse-la-Raye, St. Lucia - UPF-St. Lucia hosted 17 members of the Generation Peace Academy who came from the United States to Anse-la-Raye on November 22 to engage in volunteer work in the community. They came with a full slate of projects spanning their three-week stay.

Bangkok, Thailand - UPF launched "Peace Volunteer Thailand" with a mobilization of young people cleaning up flood damage at a Muslim school in Bangkok on December 8. This project at the Tha-It Suksa School in a traditional Islamic community brought together Muslim, Christian, and Buddhist volunteers.

Bangkok, Thailand - UPF-Thailand and several affiliated organizations are delivering food and supplies to people in Bangkok and provinces to the north affected by ongoing flooding. Volunteers are preparing meals, strengthening barriers against rising waters, and giving comfort and encouragement to people in evacuation centers.

Bangkok, Thailand - Thailand is facing its worst flooding in over 50 years with the water levels as high as three meters (ten feet) in certain parts of the country. It has claimed the lives of over 500 people so far, and hundreds of thousands of people are homeless.

Bratislava, Slovakia - An "Evening of Solidarity" on October 18 at the Zichy Palace in Bratislava featured presentations about charitable projects to aid victims of the tsunami in Japan and a school in Kenya.

Choiseul, St. Lucia - More than 80 adolescents gathered during the summer holidays for a workshop in Choiseul, July 25-29. The program included presentations, skits, small group discussions, crafts and service projects.

Slyudanka, Russia - On the train going west from Irkutsk, we shared impressions and photos with each other as we return home from Lake Baikal full of memories of our experience of close relationships with the nature and its people during our time together building a pedestrian bridge and exploring the beauties of Lake Baikal July 9-22.

Ishinomaki, Japan - Youth Ambassadors for Peace have been removing rubble and mud from homes in Ishinomaki in the Miyagi Prefecture that were devastated by the March 11 tsunami.

Lake Baikal, Russia - UPF-Russia's annual leadership training and experiential-learning project in the ecologically unique Lake Baikal region welcomes international volunteers from July 9 to 22 to work together to make the area more accessible.

Punta del Este, Uruguay - The government of Maldonado had 1,200 spare lunch boxes from an international students meeting in Punta del Esta. They gave these to UPF-Uruguay to distribute in poor neighborhoods of Nuevo Maldonado and Kennedy.

Novosibirsk, Russia - Aiming to promote a culture of peace, UPF-Russia invites young representatives from different nationalities and religions to take part in the creation of a Peace Park near the House of National Cultures in Novosibirsk, Western Siberia, August 11-21.

Kathmandu, Nepal – Thirsty pilgrims and visitors at the Swayambhu Stupa in Kathmandu quenched their thirst on the occasion of Buddha’s 2555^th birthday at a Juice Distribution Program sponsored by the Universal Peace Federation – Nepal.

Moscow, Russia - UPF-Russia is becoming more involved in the Russian national system of volunteer activities and services. In the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation in Moscow, a presentation of the Universal Peace Federation projects was made on April 30 to members of the "Grassroots Diplomatic Corps."
