UPF-Europe Donates Medical Supplies for North Korean Children's Hospital

UPF-Europe reports sending medical supplies for a North Korean children's hospital donated by Germany, Spain, and Norway. The project, in support of UPF's North East Asia Peace Initiative, was facilitated by the North Korean Red Cross in 2011.

US and St. Lucia Youth Inspire One Another

Anse-la-Raye, St. Lucia - UPF-St. Lucia hosted 17 members of the Generation Peace Academy who came from the United States to Anse-la-Raye on November 22 to engage in volunteer work in the community. They came with a full slate of projects spanning their three-week stay.

Bangkok Youth Clean Flood Damage at a Muslim School

Bangkok, Thailand - UPF launched "Peace Volunteer Thailand" with a mobilization of young people cleaning up flood damage at a Muslim school in Bangkok on December 8. This project at the Tha-It Suksa School in a traditional Islamic community brought together Muslim, Christian, and Buddhist volunteers.

Bringing Relief to Thai Flood Victims

Bangkok, Thailand - UPF-Thailand and several affiliated organizations are delivering food and supplies to people in Bangkok and provinces to the north affected by ongoing flooding. Volunteers are preparing meals, strengthening barriers against rising waters, and giving comfort and encouragement to people in evacuation centers.

Bangkok, Thailand - Thailand is facing its worst flooding in over 50 years with the water levels as high as three meters (ten feet) in certain parts of the country. It has claimed the lives of over 500 people so far, and hundreds of thousands of people are homeless.
