Ambassadors for Peace Meet in Vancouver, Canada

Vancouver, Canada - An Ambassadors for Peace meeting in Vancouver Sept. 15, 2014, opened with a live video report from Secretary General of UPF Canada Franco Famularo and a presentation about an eco-village project in Senegal of the International Sufi School.

After the summer break, all participants where happy to see and greet each other. All enjoyed a lovely sushi dinner prepared by Mrs. Wilding

At this meeting Sheikh Ally Peerbocus of the International Sufi School presented a video of the Pout eco-village project in Senegal, Africa. This project was founded by Sheikh Aly N'Daw, head of the International Sufi School, who had a vision of an alternative sustainable economic model which furthers, first and foremost, human development, and not profit-making. Pout eco-village, an alternative economy by peaceful means, is an example that can be replicated anywhere in the world. It operates as a sustainable enterprise under the name of EcoPeace and is geared towards peacebuilding, socio-economic justice, sustainable farming and environmental protection. Three projects so far have been established in different nations.
