Sharing the UPF Vision with Diplomats in Marshall Islands

Majuro, Marshall Islands - UPF representatives met with diplomats from the United States and Taiwan to share with them UPF's vision for peace and development in the Pacific islands.

The meeting with US Ambassador H.E. Martha L. Campbell was an opportunity to share about our vision for the island nations of the Pacific. We mentioned the High School of the Pacific, which offered high-quality education for youth from island nations. We also discussed the US’s important role of promoting security in the Pacific region and the importance of strengthening relations among the island nations as well as among the USA, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan for regional development.

In conversation with Ambassador from ROC (Taiwan), H.E. George T. K. Li, we emphasized the close relations between Japan and Taiwan in past decades and the speaking tours of the UPF Founders. He asked me about my experiences during the past 14 years in the Marshall Islands, and we discussed ways to support development in the Marshall Islands.

At the conclusion of both meetings, we presented a copy of the autobiography of UPF Founder Rev. Sun Myung Moon.
