Conference in Brazzaville on Innovative Approaches to Peace

Brazzaville, Congo - An international seminar was held August 31, 2003 at a hotel on the theme: “The World at a Turning Point: Innovative Approaches to Peace through Responsible Leadership and Good Governance."

Several government officials, parliamentarians, religious, administrative, military, and civilian leaders were invited to this seminar, and some among them were appointed Ambassadors for Peace. The event was publicized and it created a great impact in the nation.

From that moment two bodies were formed: the Board of Directors consisting of eight members (Chairman, Secretary General, and major leaders in politics, religion, academia, media, NGOs, and business) and a General Secretariat composed of 11 members.

With this structure, we developed an educational program and appointed new Ambassadors for Peace.
