Ambassadors for Peace Concert in Vietnam Celebrates Diplomatic Ties

Hanoi, Vietnam - Israeli vocalist David D’Or and American conductor David Eaton--both of whom are Ambassadors for Peace--performed with the Hanoi Philharmonic at the Hanoi Opera House as part of the “Friendship Melody” concert commemorating the 20th anniversary of Israeli and Vietnam diplomatic relations. The concert took place on April 11 and was attended by numerous diplomats and the respective ambassadors of Israel and Vietnam.

David D’Or was joined by the renowned Vietnamese singer Thanh Lam in several duets as a display of cultural unity between the two countries. The concert opened with David Eaton conducting an excerpt from the peace cantata, Halelu-Songs of David, which he co-composed with Mr. D’Or in 2005. The two artists will appear together in Taiwan in July with the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra.
