Representatives of three of the major faiths each spoke in turn, giving examples of beautiful things they had learned from other faiths, and speaking of the similarities and overlaps common to the different faith traditions which can bind humanity as one.

After their talk, each participant lit a candle. Later in the ceremony a representative from each of the tables came out and lit a candle from one of the initial three candles. People sitting at each table then lit their individual candles from their table's candle. This symbolized spreading the message of interfaith harmony and cooperation to everyone in the world.

There was a beautiful spirit of hope as everyone held hands for the final song “Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.”
