New York, USA - The magnificent qualities of the human heart, expressed through service to the United Nations, was celebrated during the 2012 Week of Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns, October 22-25, a project of the NGO Committee on Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns at the United Nations in New York. Other activities during the week included meditations, workshops, panel discussions, and group interactions.

Moscow, Russia - A friendly autumn football tournament marking the Day of the District of Lyublino and the upcoming National Day of People's Unity took place on a football field in Stavropolskaya Street on November 3. The Play Football Make Peace festival was organized jointly by Stardvor, UPF, and the Lyublino district of Moscow.

New York, USA - Ambassador Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser received UPF's prestigious Leadership and Good Governance Award at a special Award Ceremony held at the Millennium Hotel near the United Nations on November 15. H.E. Mr. Al-Nasser served as the President of the 66th Session of the UN General Assembly and is the High Representative Designate for the UN Alliance of Civilizations.

Kathmandu, Nepal - Celebrating the seventh anniversary of Nepal's peace process, UPF-Nepal held rallies in Kathmandu and seven other cities on November 22. In 2005, Rev. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon arrived in Kathmandu to found UPF, and the Maoist insurgents and the government's Seven Party Alliance signed a 12-point Memorandum of Understanding, beginning Nepal's peace process.

Cheongpyeong, Korea - A rally at the Cheongshim Peace Center on November 24 marked the seventh anniversary of UPF in Korea. Mrs. Hak Ja Han Moon, Co-founder of UPF, encouraged the audience to honor heaven, live in gratitude, and work for peace.

Dushanbe, Tajikistan - A representative of UPF-Tajikistan, F. Beringov, together with the Children’s Public Center of Professional Orientation organized a series of lessons and an exhibition of children’s creative talents on November 20 at a center for homeless children in commemoration of Universal Children's Day.

Washington, DC, USA - Dr. Sulayman S. Nyang, professor and chairman of the African Studies Department at Howard University in Washington, D.C., moderated a round-table discussion on "The Sahel Region of West Africa: Permanent Crisis?" hosted by the Washington DC Office of Peace and Security Affairs of UPF on November 13 at The Washington Times building.

Skopje, Macedonia - A UPF conference on Principles and Practices for Lasting Peace and Security in Macedonia and the Wider Balkans took place at FON University in Skopje on October 6 in commemoration of the UN International Day of Peace and International Day of Non-Violence.
