Abuja, Nigeria - UPF-Nigeria organized a roundtable interactive discussion at the National Merit Award House in Abuja on March 27 to commemorate the United Nations Day of Remembrance of Slavery Victims. The event also commemorated International Women's Day, whose theme this year was "Time for action to end violence against women."

Toronto, Canada - The monthly meeting of Ambassadors for Peace in Toronto featured reflections on memorable moments during UPF's World Summit in Seoul, Korea, February 22-25.

Bangkok, Thailand - The Chairman of the Committee of Religions, Art and Culture of the House of Representative of Parliament of Thailand gave the keynote address at a February 7 conference in Bangkok on "Interreligious Principles for Strengthening Families." This World Interfaith Harmony Week program featured religious leaders working together to uplift the standard of morality and peace based on healthy families.

Washington DC, USA - Report of a forum on Bringing Long-Term Peace and Security to the Balkan Region co-hosted by the Office of Peace and Security Affairs, UPF International's Washington DC Office, and the Eurasia Center, held at The Washington Times on January 30.

Buenos Aires, Argentina - “I came to Argentina with one question: Where does my value come from?” said David Albuquerque when he began his reflection on the different community services that the Generation Peace Academy youth developed in the country beginning January 17.

Vienna, Austria - "Beyond Fears and Stereotypes" was the theme of a Vienna Youth Fourm on March 12. It was inspired by the theme of the Youth Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilization conference in February on migration, integration, and innovative ways to tell the story of globalization. 

London, UK - The Mothers of Congo evening on March 1 combined music and food from the Congolese community with harrowing testimonies and videos from those who have suffered terribly in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The accounts on video of women who had been raped and who were being counselled as a group were particularly painful. Their courage to speak about their ordeals and to march as a group in a demonstration to publicise the use of rape as a weapon of war to terrorise and destroy communities in the mineral rich and lawless eastern DRC.
