Raila Odinga, and his wife Ida Odinga, joined by an international delegation that included former heads of state, members of parliament, spiritual leaders, and representatives of civil society, were warmly welcomed by 10,000 enthusiastic Kenyans at the Global Peace Festival in Nairobi.

Une foule de plus de 10 000 Kenyans enthousiastes s’est réunie au Festival mondial pour la paix de Nairobi, le dimanche 31 août. Elle a accueilli chaleureusement le Premier ministre du Kenya, M. Raila Odinga et son épouse Ida Odinga, accompagnés d’une délégation internationale comprenant sept anciens chefs d’États et plus de 120 parlementaires, guides spirituels et représentants de la société civile. Il s’agissait du troisième festival cette année, après ceux d’Asunción au Paraguay et de Washington.

Nairobi, Kenya - News of the Global Peace Festival in Paraguay swept through many communities in Kenya as the nation prepares to host her first GPF, August 29 to 31. On July 12, volunteers cleared trash from a 300-meter length of the Nairobi River. Dozens of partner agencies, hundreds of volunteers, and various government offices pooled their efforts to restore this landmark.
