Symposium on the UN International Day of Families
New York, USA - UPF organized a symposium on the Impact of Migration on Families around the world at the UN Headquarters in New York on May 17. The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Guinea sponsored the event, with co-sponsorship from the Missions of Kazakhstan, Nepal, Nigeria, Qatar, Sri Lanka, and Sudan.

The Role of Women in Social Transformation

New York, USA - “The Role of Women in Social Transformation” was the theme of gathering co-sponsored by the Permanent Missions of Iraq and Nigeria to the United Nations and organized by the Universal Peace Federation. It took place at the Mission of Nigeria headquarters on March 9 as a Parallel Event associated with the 54th UN Commission on the Status of Women. "I tell women they don't need to look for power," Amb. Joy Ogwu, Permanent Representative of Nigeria, said. "You are divinely powered."
