Dialogue & Alliance: Global Challenges, Multi-Faith Responses

dialogue and alliance

New York, USA—The summer 2016 issue of Dialogue & Alliance, a journal of UPF, is now available. The theme of this issue is “Global Challenges, Multi-Faith Responses”.

This issue of Dialogue and Alliance is significant in that it marks our 30th issue of publication, since first being launched in 1987. We are proud of this history and of the many contributors and staff who have made Dialogue and Alliance a strong voice for peace and interfaith dialogue and cooperation.

This issue focuses broadly on the critical issues facing humanity at this time, including problems of religious extremism, climate change and conflict in both Northeast Asia and the Middle East. The first set of articles addresses topics related to interreligious dialogue and contemporary issues in religion. In addition to articles that focus on interfaith topics, we include two sub-sections. The first sub-section includes articles that were first presented during the International Leadership Conference, convened in Seoul, Korea on February 12-16, 2016 on the theme of “Addressing the Critical Challenges of our Time: The Role of Governments, Civil Society and Faith-based Organizations,” sponsored by the Universal Peace Federation. The second sub-section includes articles on the difficult topic of relationships between Jews and the Arab population in Israel and Palestine.
