N'Djamena, Chad - UPF celebrated the Week of Peace and Security in Africa, September 13-21, together with government of Chad, the United Nations, and the African Union. The program under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Chief of Government of Chad, H.E. Emmanuel Nadingar included traditional dances, speeches, a parade, poetry, and a Soccer for Peace match.

New York, United States - In a speech delivered at the New York City celebration of Africa Day, May 25, hosted by the African Union in partnership with the Universal Peace Federation, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said that peace and sustainable development in Africa was one of the world body’s top priorities. N’djamena, Chad - Ambassadors for Peace planted trees, participated in lectures and discussions, and organized a women's soccer match in the national stadium in commemoration of the International Day of Peace.
