Within a short span of less than two decades, Cambodia has demonstrated through its policy a model of peace and reconciliation. A large-hearted approach based on inclusion, generosity, and taking all on board has ensured a process where there no losers and all are victors. This also reflects the fact that all types of cooperative financing that Cambodia has hitherto received from its development partners have been increasingly more efficiently and effectively used.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia - The Cambodian Mekong University was the setting for a Legacy of Peace Ceremony on June 25. The University's Vice Chancellor welcomed the audience of 250 people, and Hon. Kong Uok, Vice Chair of the National Committee for Population and Development, introduced the ceremony. A Member of Parliament, Hon. Ho Naun, gave the opening speech.

Phnom Penh, Cambodia - Almost a year ago, students from the Southeast Asia Children Charity Community “Together We Share” program began raising funds to send a team of students to Cambodia to help less fortunate children. Through fundraisers and door-to-door solicitations, they raised over US$5,000 for Cambodian children.

About 35 participants attended the Religious Youth Service project in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The project involved building an additional classroom and, thanks to TOPE paint company in Thailand for donating paints, we were able to repaint the inside and outside of classrooms and install new toilets at the Qamaruddin Al-Islamiyan School.
