The presentation and discussions focused on the benefits individuals, families, communities, and nations receive from stable marriages and healthy families.

Jakarta, Indonesia - UPF-Indonesia organized a Leadership Conference on  the International Day of Peace on the theme "Peace and Democracy: Make Your Voice Heard" at the Syarif Hidayatullah Islamic State University Jakarta on September 21. The rector delivered the keynote address.

Jakarta, Indonesia - UPF-Indonesia celebrated International Youth Day at the UPF Peace Center on August 14. The program on the theme "Change Your World" was planned and executed by the Youth Ambassadors for Peace who had been recently appointed after completing a five-day UPF Youth Leadership Training.

Jakarta, Indonesia - The theme “National Character Building and Sustainable Development” attracted over 400 participants to an international conference organized by the Universal Peace Federation and the Faculty of Communications of Universitas Tarumanagara at the university auditorium on May 27.

Jakarta, Indonesia - The Universal Peace Federation celebrated the UN International Day of Families at the UPF Peace Center on May 15 on the theme of  “Addressing Poverty by Strengthening Families.”

Jakarta, Indonesia - UPF Indonesia's character education programs are gaining widespread support. Though schools used have to moral education classes in the past, these days such classes have generally been removed from the curriculum and teachers are struggling how to implement moral or character education in their classrooms.

I do hope we can do our homework back in our country and, Insha Allah, we will meet again on other occasions to share our best practices. Together we can do better. With true love we can do more.

Jakarta, Indonesia - In support of the World Interfaith Harmony Week, UPF worked with The Wahid Institute, the Indonesian Conference for Religion and Peace, and the IPMI Business School to organize a conference on January 27 about “Building Bridges of Peace through Interfaith Leadership.”

Jakarta, Indonesia - In October, we resumed the UPF Character Education and Youth Leadership Programs in various schools and universities in the capital city. School principals and university faculty express an urgent need for such programs.

Jakarta, Indonesia - From November 8 to 10, I had the opportunity to participate in the International Conference on Islam and Higher Education, jointly organized by the International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
