Jakarta, Indonesia - A forum on "Developing a Balanced Partnership between Husband and Wife" took place on May 13 at the UPF Peace Center in Tomang, Jakarta. On May 19, a forum on "Family Values" took place at the KHBP Kebayoran Baru in Jakarta.

Jakarta, Indonesia - After the recent celebration of the World Interfaith Harmony Week at Wijayakusuma School, the school authorities requested UPF to conduct a training program on character education for their teachers. On March 10, 40 teachers attended a UPF training.

Jakarta, Indonesia - UPF-Indonesia organized World Interfaith Harmony Week programs at the Christian University of Indonesia on February 10 and at Sekolah Wijayakusuma on February 11.

Jakarta, Indonesia - The Universal Peace Federation of Indonesia, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics of the Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), organized an international seminar of the theme “National Character Building: Opportunities and Challenges” at the university on December 19.

Jakarta, Indonesia - UPF-Indonesia organized a Seminar on Marriage & Family on October 16 as part of the UPF Marriage & Family Peace Initiative. The presentation and discussions focused on the benefits individuals, families, communities, and nations receive from stable marriages and healthy families.

Jakarta, Indonesia - UPF-Indonesia organized a Leadership Conference on  the International Day of Peace on the theme "Peace and Democracy: Make Your Voice Heard" at the Syarif Hidayatullah Islamic State University Jakarta on September 21. The rector delivered the keynote address.

Jakarta, Indonesia - UPF-Indonesia celebrated International Youth Day at the UPF Peace Center on August 14. The program on the theme "Change Your World" was planned and executed by the Youth Ambassadors for Peace who had been recently appointed after completing a five-day UPF Youth Leadership Training.

Jakarta, Indonesia - The theme “National Character Building and Sustainable Development” attracted over 400 participants to an international conference organized by the Universal Peace Federation and the Faculty of Communications of Universitas Tarumanagara at the university auditorium on May 27.

Jakarta, Indonesia - The Universal Peace Federation celebrated the UN International Day of Families at the UPF Peace Center on May 15 on the theme of  “Addressing Poverty by Strengthening Families.”

Jakarta, Indonesia - UPF Indonesia's character education programs are gaining widespread support. Though schools used have to moral education classes in the past, these days such classes have generally been removed from the curriculum and teachers are struggling how to implement moral or character education in their classrooms.

I do hope we can do our homework back in our country and, Insha Allah, we will meet again on other occasions to share our best practices. Together we can do better. With true love we can do more.
