Helsinki, Finland - For the International Day of Peace, UPF-Finland held a seminar on September 21 on “Youth, Peace and Development.” After a presentation about Principles of Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution, five people described programs that encourage young people to get involved in peace and development activities.

Helsinki, Finland - UPF-Finland honored three distinguished Finnish individuals in addition to the five international figures at the Legacy of Peace event in Helsinki on June 6. H.E. Mr. Harry Purwanto, Ambassador of Indonesia to Finland, attended the event and acknowledged the respect that the late president of Indonesia, Abdurrahman Wahid, showed to UPF Founder Rev. Sun Myung Moon.

Helsinki, Finland - Members, guests and Ambassadors for Peace gathered at UPF’s Finnish headquarters September 6 and 7, 2008 to study and discuss education in the areas of character development and human relationships. Among the participants were teachers, psychologists, social workers, and a spiritual teacher. The workshop was held in an atmosphere of mutual respect, which included both deep prayer to God and a strong sense of belonging to one human family.
