Porto Novo, Benin - Le 30 Septembre 2011, dans la salle de Conférences de la Croix Rouge Béninoise s’est tenue la cérémonie de don de fournitures scolaires aux orphelins et enfants déshérités des Départements de l’Ouémé et du Plateau de la République du Bénin. La dite cérémonie entre dans le cadre de la célébration de la Journée Internationale de la Paix, édition 2011 au Bénin, par le chapitre béninois de la Fédération  pour la Paix Universelle.

Cotonou, Benin - Several forums, conferences, and ceremonies were organized in September connected with the UN International Day of Peace.

Cotonou, Benin - Professor Noel Dossou Yovo, the first person appointed an Ambassador for Peace in Benin, passed away on May 5. He was an emeritus university professor, President of the Professors World Peace Academy of Benin, and a member of the Presiding Council and the Board of UPF-Benin.

Cotonou, Benin - UPF-Benin held an observance of the International Day of Families on May 15 under the patronage of the Ministry of the Family and National Solidarity. Peace Family Awards were presented to outstanding families.

Jerusalem, Israel - UPF-Israel hosted people from Ghana and Benin for a Middle East Peace Initiative trip December 16 to 22. Rev. Paterne Zinsou, a sub-regional director of UPF-Africa, brought guests from Ghana and Benin. Among them were a former Minister of Health from Ghana, the Consul of Israel in Benin, and several Christian and Muslim religious leaders.

Cotonou, Benin - Dignitaries from all walks of life and Ambassadors for Peace from West Africa converged in the city of Cotonou for an international seminar on peace and leadership.

The Universal Peace Federation organized a national day of mobilization for peace on June 12 in Benin marked by activities to honor the UN Peace Forces and people involved in many aspects of peacemaking. Supporting the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers, the event coincided with preparations for a regional summit of African leaders.

The Universal Peace Federation and the President of the Constitutional Court of Benin presented awards to Her Excellency Mrs. Conceptia Denis Ouinsou in recognition for her ten years of service as head of the Constitutional Court of Benin.

The Global Peace Festival in Benin took place on October 26 - 29, 2007, in the coastal cities of Ouidah, the historic slave-trade port, and Cotonou, Benin's economic capital and main city. During each activity, the international delegates, Archbishop George Augustus Stallings, Jr., and Mr. Jin Man Kwak, were joined by representatives of other West African countries: Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria, Togo, and Ghana.

Benin's National Peace Council was launched on July 7, 2007, with more than 120 participants. The ceremony had the support of Benin's government, through the presence of the Vice-Minister Juste Guedou, representing the Minister in Charge of Relationship with Institutions, Porte-parole of Benin's government.

The Republic of Benin welcomed eight American Christian leaders who had come to deliver the UPF message of peace.

Cotonou, Benin - Mrs. Hak Ja Han Moon and her arrived in Cotonou to deliver the UPF peace message and were greeted by Ambassadors for Peace and government representatives.
