Dialogue & Alliance

Interreligious harmony is God's way of life.
Abednego M. Dlamini

Barbados

The Barabdos National Peace Council, an affiliate of the Universal Peace Federation, was launched on February 22, 2006. It is presently working in community centres in conjunction with the poverty alleviation program to educate our young people about the importance of "support initiatives," character education, and conflict resolution. These are taught on a weekly basis. We are in the process of creating a "Peace Park" and adopting needy families. Plans are afoot to work with other NGOs and churches to have a peace walk and rally in September. We are hoping to have a camp for adolescents.

By Sir Lloyd Sandiford, former Prime Minister, Barbados

By prudent living I mean the pursuit of a lifestyle that is satisfying and beneficial to each man, woman, and child, and to the family, community, nation, humanity in general, and the environment.
