New York, United States - In a speech delivered at the New York City celebration of Africa Day, May 25, hosted by the African Union in partnership with the Universal Peace Federation, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said that peace and sustainable development in Africa was one of the world body’s top priorities. Angola - A rally to deliver the UPF peace message was held in the capital of Angola, in the hall of the African League on October 7. The 102 people attending the event included government administrators, Muslim and Christian religious leaders, university professors, party heads, leaders of NGOs, diplomats, and journalists.
