Yerevan, Armenia - On August 10 a group of Ambassadors for Peace gathered in Yerevan at the home of Mrs. Santosh Kumari Arora for a presentation by UPF-Eurasia Secretary General Jacques Marion on UPF’s current activities. A native of India married to Armenian painter Edvard Sasun, Mrs. Santosh fully embraced Armenian culture and language and gained a reputation as a teacher and healer in her adopted country. She is also a dedicated Ambassador for Peace. The meeting was the occasion to share about UPF worldwide and current educational programs in the region.

Yerevan, Armenia - An International Day of Families observance on May 14 at the Prestigious Middle School (No 194) featured a short speech, dances, and other activities by the pupils of the school. On May 15, speakers at a Family Values Seminar at the Latar Hotel discussed the connectedness between spiritual values and strong families and between religion and personal development.

The International Leadership Conference on “The Significance of Marriage and Family for Peace in the 21st Century” brought together delegates from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Latvia, Mongolia, People's Republic of China, Russia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan as well as other parts of the world. People were moved in various ways by their experiences in Korea.
